Possible Consequences of Conjectural Periodicity of Spectrum of Lattice Dirac Operator

چکیده

Some consequences which follow from the periodicity assumption for spectral density of Wilson–Dirac operator are studied. Such an assumption allows to obtain simple representations for quark propagator, which reveals an important role of m ↔ −m symmetry. It is argued that this symmetry is restored when the mirror fermion mass mr tended to infinity. The constrains on zero modes of Wilson–Dirac operator in a toy model approximation are also discussed. The importance of the spectral density of the Dirac operator in studying spontaneous chiral symmetry breaking and anomalous U(1)A symmetry breaking are reviewed. It is shown that both types of symmetry breaking can be traced to effects of modes near zero virtuality. Above Tc, where chiral symmetry is restored, it is shown on general grounds that (in the mq → 0 limit), the density of states vani...

The order parameter of the chiral phase transition is directly related to the infrared part of the spectrum of the QCD Dirac operator. This part of the spectrum follows from the low energy limit of QCD which is given by a partition function of weakly interacting Goldstone modes. We find that the slope of the Dirac spectrum is determined by the pion decay constant whereas for λ ≪ 1/L 2 Λ QCD the...

Qcd Dirac Spectra and the Toda Lattice *

We discuss the spectrum of the QCD Dirac operator both at zero and at nonzero baryon chemical potential. We show that, in the ergodic domain of QCD, the Dirac spectrum can be obtained from the replica limit of a Toda lattice equation. At zero chemical potential this method explains the factorization of known results into compact and noncompact integrals, and at nonzero chemical potential it all...

The QCD Dirac Operator Spectrum and Finite-Volume Scaling

The succesful analytical computations of the so-called microscopic QCD Dirac operator spectrum from random matrix theory [1–3] have raised an important question. Why can random matrix theory, which seems to be very far from the quantum field theory of QCD, apparently be used to compute spectral properties of the Dirac operator? Within the last year this issue has been much clarified, with impor...

Inverse Problem for Interior Spectral Data of the Dirac Operator with Discontinuous Conditions

In this paper, we study the inverse problem for Dirac differential operators with  discontinuity conditions in a compact interval. It is shown that the potential functions can be uniquely determined by the value of the potential on some interval and parts of two sets of eigenvalues. Also, it is shown that the potential function can be uniquely determined by a part of a set of values of eigenfun...
